Hunters Room and Master Closet

We've spent our week nights doing the little things!
Kory got the heat/air vents on.

Maddie learned how to wire an electrical outlet.

We've also been working on the dang glue that stuck to the floor when we took out the wood flooring.

This stuff does NOT want to come off.

We just work on it a little bit each day,

The best part about our week was that Kory installed our bathroom door.
We have never had a door on our bathroom just a blanket. This is so exciting!

The first set of doors we ordered had the door jam already routed out.
Our 2nd batch did not.

Kylie was a big help putting the outlet covers on.

We've accomplished a lot.
I am so ready for normal. We've got stuff all over the place and it's driving us crazy!
Walking into my front door the walkway is full!

The hallways are full too.

Friday, January 10th we were about ready for carpet in Hunter's room and our master closet.  But before we can have it laid we needed to grind the floor.

Then we poured self leveling cement to work out the dips in the concrete.

Saturday morning our carpet guy came and gave us carpet!
Hunter's room looks amazing!

Now that this room is done Kory and I are going to move into it so that we can one day get our master bedroom done.

Carpet was also laid in our closet. Kory brought home our cabinets and we got to install them.

This is going to be amazing.

I have an extra shelf for shoes!

We haven't had a closet in over a year.

While we were working on the inside we had workers on the outside.
Our soffit was being installed.

Its looking great!

Kitchen Painting

Thursday, Jan 2nd our texture guys finished texturing the rooms they started with.

Kitchen above, office below.

Friday morning our wish came true! The texture was dry and we spent several hours taping everything off. Every electrical outlet, light switches, can light, windows and doors.

With all our natural light taped off I'm back to doing dishes again by flash light.
Oh I won't miss this!

By Friday night we had every room ready primed!
Yippee!

Kory had to spray by flashlight or our work lights. Not always the easiest!

Saturday morning we started bright and early!
Kory started painting all the walls. every wall got 2 coats.

When the walls were good and dry we had to tape them off so Kory could paint the ceiling.

It took us all day long to get those coats of paint on!
Sunday morning we pulled out all the paper we shoved up into the can light holes and we put in some lights! We can see again. Yay!
