Grass

Saturday, April 18th

Kory decided it was time to start working on our landscaping in the back yard. It's getting hot. It's feeling like summer. If we don't want to go through another summer of dirt it was time to get busy.
And so we began tilling up all the weeds around the fruit trees.

Then we moved some extra dirt to the side of the house.

Kylie grabbed her sand shovel to help.

Last year we hauled rock to the back yard. Now it was time to move all that rock again.

We want to pour another small cement pad between the pool and the shed. We'd like to build another chicken coop on part of it.

Before we can plant grass we need to put in a irrigation system.

We worked all week long getting the trenches dug and tilling the ground.

Then came the fun part. Putting our sprinkler system together.

Kylie was a huge help. She enjoyed staying close to daddy and helping him

We ran 2 lines. One for our drip system that will water our strawberries, fruit trees, berries and flowers out front. The other system will water our grass.

Our sod was delivered Friday afternoon.

After a very long day on Friday we were finally ready to lay out the sod. Saturday morning started bright and early at 6am. We wanted to get the sod done before it got to hot.

The kids were great help.

We all worked together and got it done in just a few short hours.

It looks amazing!

We had some extra sod so we set it on the side of the pool too. This is going to be so nice this summer having grass. It's been a long week but will be so worth it.

Absolutely beautiful having grass back there. I just love the way it looks.

Master Shower
